Especially in the start because I don´t know the outcome if the pool can handle and purge it well enough. But also the pool is not all filled with rainwater in the beginning. All the small pipes comes together outside the house into one big two way pipe with a tap on the main pipe to choose to go to the grid or to the pool. If it goes to the pool, you can filter it of rest parts of food before it flows into the pool and a daily inspection if the filter needs to be cleaned for compost. And if it works all fine, you can stop paying the grid company.
